It provides spacious rooms with spectacular scenic beauty. It is located just beside the famous ‘Sanibarer Haat’ and is very near to ‘Prakriti Bhavan’, ‘Khoai’ and ‘Kopai’. The ‘Ballavpur Reserve forest’ and the ‘Maurakshi’ canal are just within a stone’s throw.
It is 1.5 Km from Prantik station and 5 Km from Bolpur. The Santiniketan campus is just 1 km away. The house is better recognized as ‘Sonajhuri Durga Bari’. The special accommodations include a Log house and a Mudhouse with wide-open spaces.

Sonajhuri Jungle and Khoai Shonibarer Haat

Tree that sheds golden droplets in winter, Sonajhuri actually has golden flowers which make it look like a tree in heavenly courtyard. Located mostly in the Khoai region of Shantiniketan, Bolpur, Sonajhuri has become a landmark destination for the Local and tourists alike. There is a Saturday market activity in the Khoai area, for display and trading of local cottage industry items. This market is also known as Khoai Boner Annya Haat or Shanibarer Haat.
